Welcome to FitA1C. Please read these Terms of Use carefully before creating an account or using our service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using FitA1C, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
FitA1C is a personal health tracking dashboard that aggregates data from connected devices (continuous glucose monitors, fitness trackers, and wearables) to generate a daily health score. FitA1C is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. Not Medical Advice
The scores, grades, thresholds, and estimates displayed by FitA1C are for informational and personal tracking purposes only. They are based on general-purpose default presets that may not be appropriate for your individual health situation. You should NOT use FitA1C as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your doctor, endocrinologist, or qualified healthcare professional before making any changes to your diabetes management, medication, insulin dosing, or treatment plan. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your doctor or call emergency services immediately.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
5. Connected Services
FitA1C integrates with third-party services including FreeStyle Libre (LibreView), WHOOP, and Strava. By connecting these services, you authorize FitA1C to access and store data from those services to power your dashboard. You may disconnect these services at any time. FitA1C is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Abbott (FreeStyle Libre), WHOOP, or Strava.
6. Health Data
You acknowledge that health data (glucose readings, recovery scores, activity data, step counts) is sensitive personal information. FitA1C stores this data to provide its service. You consent to the collection, processing, and storage of this data as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Default Settings and Customization
All thresholds, goals, scoring weights, and other presets in FitA1C are defaults and can be fully customized by you. We strongly recommend reviewing and adjusting these settings in consultation with your healthcare provider to ensure they reflect your personal health targets.
8. Estimated A1C
FitA1C displays an estimated A1C value calculated using the standard ADAG formula. This is a mathematical approximation based on your average glucose readings and is NOT a lab result. It should never be used as a substitute for blood-based A1C testing ordered by your healthcare provider. Your actual A1C may differ significantly.
9. Limitation of Liability
FitA1C is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FitA1C LLC shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to health outcomes, data loss, or service interruptions. You use FitA1C at your own risk.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FitA1C LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.
11. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be removed within 30 days.
13. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
